Chairman of the Board

Knut Flakk is the founder of Hexagon Composites ASA and CEO of Flakk Gruppen AS. He has an extensive entrepreneurial track record having established and developed a number of companies both in Norway and internationally. Flakk has been the CEO of the Flakk Group since 1996.

Takayuki Tsunashima

Board member

Takayuki Tsunashima is a Senior Business Advisor of Mitsui’s Functional Material Division. He has extensive experience in renewable energy, engineering and automative and has held several leadership positions in Mitsui since 1983.


Mr. Tsunashima represents Mitsui & Co Ltd, Hexagon's largest shareholder.

Liv Astri Hovem

Board member

Liv Astri Hoem is currently CEO of DNV’s Accelerator, a business area dedicated to building businesses and technologies that shape the future of assurance. Hovem has extensive experience in leading successful international businesses across multiple industries, including in the maritime and energy sectors. She has previously served as board member of several R&D-related institutions.

Sam Gabbita is the co-founder of Qell, a California based investment platform focused on mobility and transportation. He has held a variety of positions across financial and managerial functions within the financial services industry and has broad experience from managing sustainability focused investments.

Eva Sagemo currently holds the position as CFO at TOMRA. She has extensive experience in auditing and has previously served as Group Controller (TOMRA), Auditor (BDO), Consolidation & Reporting Manager (Aibel) and Chief Accountant (Fugro).

Joachim Magnusson

Board member

Joachim Magnusson is Managing Director of NOVAB AB, a Swedish family owned construction business and real estate business.

Magnusson has 30+ years’ experience in the automotive industry, with extensive knowledge in operations and world class manufacturing. He has held several leadership positions internationally, including CEO of Xandor Automotive, EVP Driveline Systems of Kongsberg Automotive, Managing Director of Kenmore International in China and Managing Director of Scandinavia and Hungary at TI Automotive.
